Jeff Charbonneau and Eliza French
Robert Berman / E6 Gallery: Circumspect - Jeff Charbonneau & Eliza French.
Review by RWM: Fantastic images of large imaginative landscapes. Magic globes pervade these incredible photographs. Here are fire balloons and spherical visitors while contemplative figures in the vicinity experience this otherworld.
Comment by AB: Photographs shot and developed with traditional film and darkroom techniques. Hard to believe, but every last detail of these chimerical compositions is staged. No Photoshop or digital manipulations whatsoever; these photographs are the results of pure painstaking logistics. You see exactly what the camera saw, and that’s what makes this show a winner. Stop on by.

David Trulli
http://www.artbusiness.com/1open/022311.html
Robert Berman/E6 Gallery: Beyond Daylight - David Trulli.
Review by RWM: David Trulli captures the ominous metropolis in black and white. The scratchboard approach and skewed perspectives are somewhat disconcerting, but effectively send a message about dark and mercenary forces at work. The office buildings hardly seem sterile, and far from pristine. The views are at times powerful, dizzying and splendid. You can’t help but appreciate the workmanship involved in Trulli’s art.
Comment by AB: David Trulli puts a prodigious amount of painstaking labor into his art. Keep in mind that these works are created entirely by scratching with needles into uniform surfaces of black paint over white. You can’t fully appreciate the process unless you get up close… real close.

Ben Talbert and John Altoon: The Beat Goes On
http://www.artbusiness.com/1open/041311.html
Robert Berman / E6 Gallery: The Beat Goes On - Select works by Ben Talbert and John Altoon, Beyond Erotic Art from the 60s.
Comment by RWM: Lewd and mischievous, but fun and progressive nonetheless.
Comment by AB: I wish I could show you all the art, but select examples are simply too naughty and bawdy to post. It’s worth seeing though; classic sixties blow-it-out-your-ass erotica. Special added bonus for tonight’s opening - atmospheric low-light live painting performance by Norton Wisdom with musical accompaniment by Mercury Falls.
